There are different scenes there. Tina saw Clara's car. She is not sure of who is behind the wheel, but she hoped whoever is behind the wheel will lead her to Clara.

The general is working with Clara to get Tina, hence, the reason behind using Clara's car to arouse Tina's curiousity.
