Job Description
General
1. Responsible for all human resource activities to include recruitment, employment, compensation, labour relations, performance management, benefits, and training and development.
Attraction & Recruitment
2. Manpower planning, attraction, selection, negotiations & recruitment
Compensation & Benefits
3. Prepare, process and distribute payroll
4. Prepare and maintain company salary structure, job documentation, and job evaluation systems. Undertake salary survey questionnaires.
5. Administer and explain benefits to employees, serve as liaison between employees and insurance carriers.
Employee Welfare
6. Design and conduct new employee orientations/induction.
7. Work with union representative to resolve labour relation issues.
8. Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.
Performance Management
9. Develop and implement comprehensive performance management system. Probation evaluation, confirmation process, annual appraisals, consequence management (reward & sanctions), bonus systems etc,
Training & Development
10. Recommend, develop and schedule training and development courses.
11. Arrange on-the-job training to new employees with Functional heads
Policies, Procedures, Structure & Systems, Change Management
12. Provide ongoing advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.
13. Recommend, develop and maintain human resource data bases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems.
14. Develop and recommend operating policies and procedural improvements.
15. Perform specific research/investigation into operational issues, as requested.
Skills
• Knowledge of a range of human resource disciplines. Knowledge of Nigerian labour law and employment practices. Strong interpersonal, communication, and analysis skills.
• Minimum qualifications of a Bachelor's Degree and five to eight years HR experience.
• Professional & confidence-building appearance.
• Flexible approach to work schedule, media, and locations.
