Black sappoe....its a fruit found mostly in northern part of nigeria.....the fruit is not nigeria origin that's y most people don't know it.....it's slightly brownish in color but looking it from the dorsal view, people mistake it for black...it is rich in fat soluble vitamins....it produces seed which can later be processed in to another product.....yea..I have a friend that carried out project work on this fruit....

The English name is velvet tamarind while it's botanical name is dialum indum.
