Former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, actively starred in a novelty football match yesterday to celebrate his 78th birthday.

The five-aside football match, which held at the MKO International Stadium, Abeokuta, Ogun State, attracted many spectators. The former president led members of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) team in the 60-minute match against Ogun State government team led by Governor Ibikunle Amosun. Obasanjo showed his fitness in the match where he scored two goals to give his side victory over the state government's team which had a lone goal. Prof. Akin Mabogunje and Dr. Femi Olopade played on Obasanjo's side.
