In my earlier years I used tooth brushes that had hard bristles. I thought the effect on the tooth will brighten the surface of teeth. I will always buy "hard" Jordan tooth brushes made by Rokana Nigeria or any other type that has hard label on it. Little did I know that I was doing myself harm. My gums began to recede.

Something different affected one of my molars at a time to the effect that the dentist that I visited recommended its extraction.

While he was doing it and examining me, he observed the receded gums and told me what was responsible. That I must have been using a hard bristle on my gums and told me to be using the soft type, example was given me straight away from his clinic which I have been using or buying to replace.

It's almost three years since I changed to the soft bristles now but my gum has remained so and no change. What can I do about this please?
