Her majesty Queen Sarah Obongha, the reigning Face of Culture Northern Nigeria awarded prizes to the winners of her pet project in Abuja recently. The pet-project which she tagged Abuja Essay and Poem Competition on Our Culture' was meant for primary and Secondary schools within the Abuja Municipal Area Council. 

The queen who is a prolific writer and philanthropist initiated the educational project to discover and encourage young writers and intelligent pupils using the opportunity her office as a queen afforded her.‎ The highly outspoken Cross Rivers State born model is also into photography and cinematography with a script she is already working on.


The star Prize winner Miss Amira Aliyu a primary 5 pupil of LEA Primary School Utako, apart from winning #60,000 cash, also got a scholarship
that spans through her secondary education.
 
While addressing the competitors, Queen Sarah Obongha advised the young ones to always be law abiding citizens, learn how to speak their indiginous languages, be obedient to there parents, relatives and community, as charity begins at home.

Madam Uche, the representative of Universal Basic Education Board (UBEB-) Chairman, also commended the efforts of the Face of Culture organisation through the President, Amb. Roland Owualah for bringing up such initiative, in her speech ' this kind of project is really good, it will help nurture our children towards knowing more and valuing their culture'. 

The queen thanked Amb. Roland Owualah the President of Face of Culture Organisation for giving her the opportunity to carry out this Project as a Northern Ambassador for Culture. She also thanked her supporters, the PMAN, Eddyliz, D-Designs, Indomie, AlexReports, DGP Resources and others for making the event a success. 

Ambassador Roland also thanked all for coming and told them to look out for more empowerment Projects from the organisation as the year goes on. He also adviced young girls out there to get ready to purchase this year's contest form which is already on sales, so that they can also become celebrated cultural queens and ambassadors of Nigeria.
