Miss Nigeria Ezinne Akudo Launches Charity Foundation For Women And Children by esthergbemi: 6:23pm On Mar 25, 2015
Miss Nigeria, Ezinne Akudo has set up a charity foundation she calls ‘The Eight Foundation’ tilted towards the girl-child.

This was made known at a media parley held yesterday at the new operational office of the foundation in Lekki area of Lagos. Ezinne in her welcome address noted that establishing a foundation like this has always been her topmost objective even before she entered for the Miss Nigeria beauty pageant, a brain child of Daily Times Nigeria, now published by Folio Communications Ltd, and long after she won the crown in 2013, had worked towards ensuring its emergence and functionality as her own way of rendering assistance to the girl-child.

She disclosed that the ‘The Eight Foundation’ is committed towards empowering women and children across the continent and also raising general awareness on rape and sexual abuse in the society. “We at the foundation will be providing medical and social rehabilitation to female victims of sexual violence and we also hope to establish a shelter in the nearest future, called the half-way home for victims”.
