NAIJA is a slang, it's another name for Nigeria. but where did it originate from? i first heard it around 2000 while listening to my elder bro gist with his friends. where do you think the word originated from, who coined the word and when was it coined?

Walahi, if i tell you i know where NAIJA originated from, i'd be lying. I seriously don't know. But i have known the word for as long as long can be. It's actually a cool name for Nigeria.

When you write Nigeria in any Nigerian language it will probably come out Naijiria, reducing that to Nigeria was easy from there on. Naira came the same way.
