Where would you rather be after sundown today? I've got a suggestion for you. At the nearest kingdom Hall of Jehovah's witnesses. Why , you may ask, its because today is the most important day in human history, and the most important day for every true Christian. Why did I say that?

More than 2000 years ago, in the evening of today, our lord Jesus Christ was arrested falsely accused, hastily tried and subsequently sentenced to die in the most painful way.....being hanged alive on a stake. In that way he offered he's life to buy us back from the slavery Adam and Eve put us when they rebelled against our creator. So you now see why its important for you? Please read Matt 26:20-56.

But something happened before he was finally arrested. On that day, Nisan 14 ( Nisan was the name they call the first month in the old calendar used by the Jews of Jesus days) Jesus had gathered all he's 12 faithful disciples in a room so they can eat the passover together. (Passover is a very important festival for the Jews, because it is the remembrance of they day they were freed from 400 years of slavery in Egypt by God through his servant Moses). Now after they have celebrated the passover by eating, drinking and singing praises, Judas the betrayer now excused himself so he could go complete the job he was paid 30pieces of silver for. So now left with only he's 11 faithful disciples, Jesus Christ took a loaf of unsweetened bread broke it and gave the 11....saying the words at Luke 22:18-25.

Well since they just ate the passover, Jesus now called what he just did with the bread and wine, a new covenant. ......1Cor 11:23-25

The story is sweet abi...well if you want to know more, then you have got to be there. At any kingdom hall of Jehovah's witnesses around the world today! You will not only hear more of the new covenant, you will also know more of why its important for you not to take this day for granted. Why its the most important day in our lives as Christians and why Jesus told Paul and us all to "keep doing this in remembrance of me".
