Jesus is not the one sitting on the main throne in heaven. The main throne is surrounded by twenty-four lesser thrones. The people sitting on the 24 thrones are like God, but they are not Almighty.

Re. 3:21 To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne.

Jesus is our God, because those of us who will overcome will sit on thrones that surround Hid own throne; His throne is the main throne and ours will be subordinate thrones to his own.
