Job Summary:

Successful candidate would be responsible for
a. Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on CAT equipment and other similar equipment.
b. Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
c. Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
d. Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
e. Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
f. Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
g. Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
h. Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.
i. Clean parts by spraying them with grease solvent or immersing them in tanks of solvent.
j. Weld or solder broken parts and structural members, using electric or gas welders and soldering tools.
k. Adjust, maintain, and repair or replace subassemblies, such as transmissions and crawler heads, using hand tools, jacks, and cranes.
l. Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
m. Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.
n. Fabricate needed parts or items from sheet metal.
o. Assemble gear systems, and align frames and gears.
p. Research, order, and maintain parts inventory for services and repairs.
q. Adjust and maintain industrial machinery, using control and regulating devices.
r. Schedule maintenance for equipment, and keep equipment service records.
s. Plan, coordinate and monitor team members in the workshop environment.
t. Perform other duties as assigned by your Supervisor/HoD.


Reporting Relationships:
Reports to Workshop Manager.

Person Specification:
The successful candidate must be calm, energetic and analytical, result oriented person, team player, neat, smart, level headed, ready to learn, composed, pay attention to details, honest, and good interpersonal relationship.

Minimum Qualification / Experience Required:
a. OND/HND /City & Guild certificate, Trade Test or relevant course.
b. At least 2- 3 years working experience.
