Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has finally said sorry to his brother Rhodri for having an eight-year affair with his wife in an attempt to end a four-year feud between the pair.
In 2011 the Old Trafford hero sensationally hit the headlines for not only having an affair with model Imogen Thomas, but also for bedding his brother’s wife Natasha Giggs – which had been kept a secret from his family for an astonishing eight years.
According to The Sun, the former Wales international somehow found the courage, after four years, to phone his brother and offer his first apology for his behaviour.
A source told the British tabloid that, “Ryan rang Rhodri out of the blue a few weeks ago.
“Rhodri moved on a long time ago but he was never going to contact Ryan. He was adamant Ryan had to make the first move as he was the one who had done wrong.”
The Sun report that Ryan and his brother Rhodri were spotted together at a Manchester’s Neighbourhood bar over the Easter weeekend, in what is sign that the pair may have made their peace.
A bar insider said, “They were sitting in the VIP area and looked like they were enjoying each other’s company again.”
The news inevitably tore the family apart, with Rhodri and Natasha divorcing in 2013, while Ryan and his wife, Stacey Cooke, remain married, despite his extramarital activity.
