Isn't it crazy when everyone owns a website, flooding the cyber space? When crime are being perpetuated on other members of the internet community?

The internet is now filled with junks and garbages which the founding fathers may never envisage it to be.

You see them in their numbers setting up websites they have little or no technical knowledge about then they start sourcing for how to make millions from their blog / forum.

The cyber space or the internet is like any other profession which you must have a degree of understanding about before you venture into it. Although, like the teaching profession, you need not to have any qualification to be a part of the Internet.

The benefits of the International Network has sparked some debates over the years with many speakers saying it has had more negative effects on its users. Aside from the fraud being perpetuated by some members of the Internet community and the watching of pornographic contents on the Net, some people have met their death from the use of the Internet. Also, the quality of information one get on the Net can never be relied upon, which i've found to be true in its entirety. Another point they've made is that privacy is usually not guaranteed.

As interesting as the use of the internet may be, some people are intoxicated by the power of the internet. A clear example is a group of intellectually derained cyber criminals who, on a National election, hacked into the website of the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC). Those who read their message on the site may not notice the sarcasm therein but it is disgusting to say that your reason for hacking the site was to prevent rigging.

While this seems not to be a debate on the benefit of using the Internet. I think it's important to note some of the cons of using the internet which i've highlighted above.

The average internet users should note that money are not being sprayed when one have a blog / forum. It takes some level of patience, persistence and process to hit the box.

The Internet is such a good place to express oneself, but i think it'll be more better when we use our core values online and not hide under the facade of anonymity.
