Pep Guardiola will return to former club Barcelona for the first time in the Champions League semi-finals after his Bayern Munich side were drawn to face the La Liga giants in the last four.

Guardiola left Barca to go on sabbatical in 2012 and will look to defeat his former side - where he twice won the competition - as Bayern look to progress to the final for the second time in three years.

Luis Enrique's side defeated Paris Saint-Germain 5-1 on aggregate to progress to the last four - while Bayern beat Porto 7-4 over two legs - but they have been kept away from fierce rivals Real Madrid, who ran out 1-0 winners over fellow La Liga club Atletico thanks to a late Javier Hernandez goal.

Carlo Ancelotti's side will instead take on Juventus, who beat Monaco to earn their clash with the current Champions League holders

The draw throws up the possibility of an all-Spanish final for the second successive year, with Real defeating Atletico after extra-time last season.

Bayern last reached the showpiece in 2013, when they beat Borussia Dortmund, while Barcelona defeated Manchester United in 2011. Juventus, meanwhile, have not reached the final since 2003, when they lost to AC Milan on penalties at Old Trafford.

Barca and Juve have been drawn as the home teams, and the first leg ties will take place on May 5 and May 6, with the second legs following on May 12 and May 13.
