While in secondary school i was reading out a writeup on the assembly as the senior boy then.I forgot that my phone was in my front pocket and so i read on with confidence.Back then it was prohibited for a student to use phones in school.And i was one of the executive of the law of the school,as i sieze phones sometimes.Though i had brought the phone to copy out an assignment which i couldn't finish at night due to some factors.As my phone rang out (then "coat f many colors was my caller tune"). Suddenly a loud suprano voice sprong out from my pocket in the silence of the school's compound.At first the teacher in the upper varrander were i read the writeup looked down and said in yoruba"kilonshe awon omo yi ehn" thinking it was coming from amongst the students down there.With sweat on my face and shiver in my voice,i brought out the phone shamefully and handed it to the man.Then a very loud "ohhhhhhhhhh" came from the students.And the man then said"ha iwotieni"meaning its even you.I felt as though the earth should just open up and swallow me.My savling grace was that my principal wasn't around to withness this mistake of mine.Though i tried maintaining balance and read on,but the whole atmosphere was poluted by the murterring from the students.Though i got my phone back after we left assembly after i was bathed with insults from teachers.I then proceeded to check the senceless caller who called in such a "school hour" lo and behold it was airtell...chai......share yours and keep the fun rolling 1 Like |
