The richest man in Africa, Aliko Dangote, has revealed his plans to try and buy Arsenal once more while admitting manager Arsene Wenger needed to change his style.Gunners fan Dangote, who is worth $15.7 billion, discussed buying a stake in the north London outfit in 2010 before talks with the club’s owners fell through. His wealth has since increased more than sevenfold, which has led to the 58-year-old confirming his desire to buy Arsenal – but only at the right price.‘I still hope, one day at the right price, that I’ll buy the team,’ he told Bloomberg Business.‘I might buy it, not at a ridiculous price but a price that the owners won’t want to resist. I know my strategy.’Dangote has made his wealth through various businesses, including sugar and flour, but he admitted he didn’t see himself trying to acquire Arsenal just yet.‘We have $16 billion-worth of investments in the next few years,’ he said.‘Right now I want to take my own business to a certain level. Once I finish on that trajectory, then maybe [an offer will follow].’Arsenal won their first major trophy in nine years when the club secured the FA Cup last year, a tournament they will once again be hoping to win this season when they face Aston Villa in the final on 30 May.Despite admitting that Wenger – who has been in charge of the Gunners since 1996 – had managed the club well in a financial sense, Dangote insisted the Frenchman ‘needs to change his style a bit’ because the club ‘need a new direction.’http://metro.co.uk/2015/05/05/africas-richest-man-reveals-plan-to-buy-arsenal-says-arsene-wenger-needs-to-change-his-style-5181399/

Investors look at returns on investment when deciding where to invest. Buying Kano pillars will have little returns on investment, cos fans turn out is low in the NPL, therefore fewer tickets are sold. Television rights ain't lucrative, and clubs don't sell enough souvenirs to make much money. Most clubs are state owned and depend on the govt for allocation and salaries.

Only the LMC can make the league enticing for investors.
