God bless all of those that donated, and the Americans, the British and our fellow African medical workers and volunteers for risking their lives that we may live. 2 Likes |

Awww. Finally!!! Thanks be to God, the Almighty Father. Congratulations to the government and the people of Liberia. They've seen it all. It's not easy. We equally pray for God's intervention in Guinea and Sierra-Leone. Everything's going to be fine. Soon. And may God, through His infinite mercy and compassion, grant eternal rest to all those who lost their lives in the course of the battle. It's well. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

I hope ebola is not one of the biological weapons from the West against sub-saharan Africa. Congrats to Liberians. |

It is good news....but we are not out of the woods yet. Time now for Liberia to improve its public health response to infectious disease. Time also to train more health care staff....and to invest in health care. |

nationwide1: Well, Ebola is a very poor biological weapon.....if it is (It isn't). For starters, a lot of human beings are resistant to the virus. Secondly....putting in strong public health measures....and isolating patients is enough to stop the spread of the disease.(That's how Uganda got ebola free....). Ebola is no bioweapon. It is even a very poor one if it is a bioweapon.....because the minute preventive health measures are in place...the epidemic dies out. And as Uganda has proved....isolate the first few patients fast....and there may be no epidemic. We need to spend more on public health....instead of blaming the West. |

bushdoc9919: Well said. I know about the effectiveness of the public health measures in combating ebola virus. If you look at it very well, almost all the viruses ( HBV, HCV, Yellow Fever, Lassa Fever Virus, Dengue virus HIV etc) have a way of prevention if the measure is carefully applied. You can call it a poor biological weapon but its high virulence and pathogenicity scare even the public health experts. |
