Although he has not repeated his infamous act since he bit Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup in 2014, Barcelona forward, Luis Suarez, may have nightmares when he faces the Italian player in the final match of the UEFA Champions League on June 6.
Aftermath of Juventus’ triumph over Real Madrid on Wednesday night, Luis Suarez will meet face to face with his World Cup bite prey, Chiellini, ahead of the showdown in Berlin.
For the first time since the incident last summer, Suarez will engage with Chiellini after Alvaro Morata, a former Real Madrid player, helped Juventus to sensationally knock out his former club, to set up a rematch of the notorious 2014 World Cup clash “Italy v Uruguay”, where Suarez was banned for four months for biting the Italian international.
Pundits are also concerned on how Suarez will tackle former Manchester United ace, Patrice Evra- who also plays for Juventus- in the final, after being banned for allegedly using racist language towards the full-back during his (Suarez’s) days at Liverpool. The Uruguayan was handed an eight-match ban for the alleged racial language he (Suarez) used towards the Frenchman and refused to shake his (Evra) hands when the pair met later in the English Premier League.
The question on everybody’s lips now would be, “Will Suarez shake Evra? Or will he bite Chiellini again?”
It would be recalled that the former Ajax star played his first game for his present club just six months ago, after serving his lengthy ban for biting Chiellini at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
