Omotayor123: Oh well; I don't know about the bold, but I still believe that it's wrong and unlawful to exclude NOUN youths from serving the Nation! NOUN is an accredited Federal University; so, it's graduates should be accepted into the NYSC just as graduates of other accredited institutions abroad are accepted for youth service regardless of whether the college is for youths or working adults! And to be sincere with you, I have never heard anywhere in the world that a school is founded "specially" for working adults; even if there is, it will be illogical to deny youths who attend it youthful privileges because it's a working adult University. It's only in cases of Military Universities that age requirement is applicable for those who intend to serve in the Military after graduation! I believe NOUN like other distant learning centres/institutions was NOT founded "ONLY" for working adults but was created to help working adults study at home as most of their lectures and exams are delivered online! This can as well help youths who want to work full-time handle their studies at the same time; so it's not only meant for working adults! 1 Like |

Seriallinks:I don't understand why youths will prefer going to such institution. I call it Laziness on their part. There are hundreds of other federal Universities for both young nd old. Most of the Noun 'youth' students I know are those that have failed in one institution or d other. Go nd get ur facts# 1 Like |

I don't really understand y ppl still criticizes noun ? On countable young Nigerians are still jobless today ,even after serving at nysc, the seconds or minutes you generate comments to criticize ,use that time to generate a business idea or being creative ..many of the world richest men and leaders never graduated from the university or serving like critize says .. 1 Like |

Omotayor123: Na now I understand you At least the bold explains your stance! Well, maybe that's only because it's in Nigeria...Nigerians love easy things, shortcuts etc; so I get it LOL |

unikazzy: Bro dont pass false information here just to make gest of the future of other Nigerians. Who told you we have lecturers in NOUN? What we have is facilitators not lecturers. How can you buy or settle a computer which upon submission of your Answers you see your results on screen? Your money can not buy 0.1 mark in NOUN 1 Like |

Omotayor123:The goverment and NOUN management is to be blamed, not the young students. Firstly, If NOUN was created for adult students (working class) alone. NOUN have been admitting underage students, against NOUN's reason for existence. Why? Seconly, If there were enough or reasonable number of institutions of higher learning to address the number of students seeking higher education. These young students won't opt to study at NOUN. NOUN is not a cheap institution to start with, the institutions is more expensive compared to most universities. So the government should as a matter of urgency, address the issue at hand and give these students every right to participate in whatever others do. Note: Most of these students are far better than their mates in other institions. 1 Like |

I foresaw this discriminations happening two years ago, that's why I refused to go to the annoyance of my mum and aunt. Now these students are putting this school into the spotlight for a needless cause. I wouldn't even be surprised when they start being treated as second rates in workplaces. What's so special in NYSC sef? Instead of them to join their mates in the labour market with their exemption letters. |

CVWizards:Don't talk rubbish. NOUN is as much an educational institution as any other. A federal institution for that matter. Didn't you read that it was accredited by the NUC? |

all you guts need to change your perception of life. B.Sc. , HND are all a piece of paper. education is different from schooling. you need education. NYSC does not mean your life will be better. |

lacreamieboie:What a gross display of ignorance! NOUN operates on an educational system known as Open and Distance Learning. We have full time as well as part time students. Your ignorance disgusts me *spits* |
