JOB TITLE: Sales Representative

DEPARTMENT /UNIT: Sales and Marketing                                STATUS: Full time

REPORTS TO: Regional Manager

A renowned IT firm is in need of outstanding and innovative individuals for role of Sales Representative. Location: Ikeja, Abuja and Port Harcourt. Reporting to the Regional manager, the sales representative would identify, maintain and develop opportunities for the promotion of the organization’s products and services within a defined sales area. The job titles may also include sales engineer/technical representative, which would involve providing advice on engineering applications and solutions to customers’ technical problems. The Sales Representative shall work within a target driven, field sales role which involves both face to face and telephone selling and promotion. This includes working with current and potential customers and following up leads.

• To efficiently follow and close opportunities for sales
• To retain the company market share and consistently create new markets

JOB PROFILE/POSITION SUMMARY
• Identify, maintain and develop sales opportunities for all products offered by the company
• Perform face to face and telephone selling  and required product promotional activities
• Target driven and should be able to work under minimal supervision
• Ability to intelligently analyze competitive products and or solutions
• Provide astute customer feedback
• Provide regular sales reports and periodic sales forecasts
• Maintain a superb customer relationship interface on behalf of the company

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Will be expected to cover sales activities within the sales region and will be out on the field most of the time
• Ability to work under pressure
• Keep work environment tidy and conducive
• A lot of mental and physical exercises
• Maybe required to work on weekends and overnight

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT
• Excellent communication and written skills
• Must be computer literate
• Knowledge of contemporary sales process management

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in any field with at least a 2nd class lower honors
• Minimum of two years working experience in an events marketing or sales position
• Experience in managing key/major accounts will be an advantage

• Ability to take ownership of function to meet critical deadlines and work well in a team oriented environment
• Ability to learn new ideas and take correction
• Should have a clear and analytical mind
• Should possess good listening and persuasion skills

• Capable of excel in a self motivated and self directed environment
• Must enjoy being on the road
• Ability to manage difficult situations
