Will Adebayor End Up Like Yekini? by Lokooneone(m): 8:00pm On May 21, 2015
Since the day he decided to let out the can of worms in his family to the world, he has never known peace. For Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor, the sun seems to be setting on the illustrious career of a player whose life has over the years radiated success, fame and glory.

Many has attributed the former Arsenal striker outburst to a spell while others refer to it as an enchantment but no one can really tell what has brought about the discord between Adebayor and his family.

Now released for the second time this season on compassionate ground by his club to sort out his family issues, the former African Footballer of the year future with the London side is gradually fading away before his eyes while he is still blinking.

Adebayor's present predicament is reminiscent of late Super eagles striker, Rashidi Yekini who allowed his family issues to overwhelm him and confined him into solitude.Yekini who is Nigeria's all time leading goal scorer with 37 goals just like Adebayor battled with both the seen and unseen forces in his family but could not conquer before he passed on.

While the death of Rashidi Yekini still remains a misery to many Nigerians and football fans across the globe who knew little or nothing about the sour relationship he had with his family members, same can not be said of Adebayor whose structure and striking prowess could be likened to the former eagles forward. Football fans across the globe would easily give details of the woes in the ace footballer's family.

Unlike Yekini who bottled up and kept the media away from his many troubles, Togolese born Adebayor threw caution to the air by letting the world into the hidden part of his family with his many unguided Facebook post.

Today, the peace the former Manchester City forward had enjoyed in his career has suddenly evaporated. The thought of committing suicide has suddenly taken over him. Reports has it that he was once talked out of killing himself by his sister Iyabo.

Now that this most decorated footballer to ever come out of Togo has been giving time to rehabilitate and rediscover himself, his fans all over the world will hope that in the process of time, he clears his head, settles his family issues and return strong. However, if he allows the storm presently raging in his family to sweep him away, he may also be remembered like Nigeria's gangling Rashidi Yekini.
