If This Happens To You What Will You Do? by brayando2010: 5:22am On May 22, 2015 |
Just this morning, I received a call from an intimate friend, whom I last communicated with 1 years back after my NYSC in Nigeria, I was really happy hearing from him. One of the questions he asked was, what are you doing presently? And I replied, am running a fitness studio along side with consultant with other side automated businesses. But when I tried to uncover what he was doing, to my surprise, he told me he was retrenched from his job 5 months ago; he admitted he was very sad about the layoff… According to him, he was committed, punctual, loyal, honest, hardworking and other qualities that will make the company grow. He has justify himself to uncover reasons behind him being layoff. You and I know that there is no concrete reason when companies wants to lay people off, and this is one reason I didn’t fancy working for people. Anyway to that of my friend I will consider it as bad luck. Despite him losing his job, two more terrible things happened to him within the space of one month. First the mum passed away two week after he was being layoff, in the second week after the death of his mother, his wife to be was involved in a terrible car accident. I was “oh my God how could he take it” how on earth could a young man ever take the pressure of losing his job, facing the death of a loved one and taking care of a woman he proposed to marry, within the space of one month. No man prays for outrageous thing to happen to them, but what will you do if all this befalls you? Give up in life? Or ….? Guess what after all these he told me he has to be strong and he didn’t want his father to see him depressed. To cut long story short, I’m so happy for him that this untoward incidents actually made him to stop and think about his life and reprioritize his life, which he never did before He turned the incident that happened to him within the space of one month, into power and strength that changed his life for good. Because of these incidents my friend had the courage and decided to be his own boss, by taking advice I gave to him few month back in service year. He told me that he now gain more satisfaction from life which he never felt before. I also told him how to build residual income ideas, and following these ideas his profit has tripled compared to what he use to earn before. Is this what we call “blessing in disguise” for him? My friend has definitely changed a lot for better. Today I ask what is stopping you from becoming who you want to become? Most of us will not leave our comfort zone unless something very dramatic happens to them, such as loss of loved ones, divorce, loss of job, or sickness How many of us today dream of being your own boss but never taken any single step or action. Do you want what happened to my friend to happen to you or something similar before you really sit down and plan out your life, the way you want your future to be, the school your children will attend, buying the car and house of your dream, and doing the things you really love? The choice is yours; do not wait for tragedy thing to happen before you embark on your journey to success and financial freedom. Learn from my friend’s experience and take action now. |
