Please am confused on which anti virus to use in my system. Avg have been serving me well for a while now. But some friends have been suggesting avast. I will like to hear from expert and other users on this forum. Thanks. Ur reasons will also be appreciated. GOD BLESS NIGERIA

There is nothing like best antivirus. Any antivirus of your choice must be updated from time to time for effective performance

Kaspersky has one of the best if not the best protection against 0 day malware (Malware that is formed the same day). Also, whenever there are security vulnerabilities, Kaspersky is always the first to find out about it.

That's not true at all, some Virus detection software are better than others at keeping up with 0 day threats and searching for Malware. There are tests online that illustrate this. Please stop living in a cave.

I'm not too familiar with what's the best for Android. I would assume Kaspersky would be, but Android isn't at threat as much as Windows OS is yet (though it will eventually get there).

You must be poor in thinking and understanding. Virus detection capabilities of any antivirus reduces without virus definition updates from time to time.
Your so called "best antivirus" can be ineffective today if a new threat emerges.

Perhaps, you want to know that those ratings you see online are based on different factors and users bias

In regards to Anti-virus software with 0 day protection and highest detection rates, Kaspersky is indeed #1. Who doesn't update their Security suite often? Doesn't make sense.

@Op this is what I use and it protects me effectively. but to keep it at optimum performance, you have to update it regularly (daily if possible).

When was the last time you used Kaspersky? Kaspersky is one of the lightest suites out there, don't know where you get that from.
