It is no more news that Liverpool FC will not be participating in the Champions League next season having lost their spot to Manchester United. It was a different ball game for Liverpool this season who went down sixth place on the EPL table at day 38 in contrast with their super form last season when they ended up runner-up in the tourney.

With the exit of Suarez their hitman at the end of last season, Liverpool FC has suffered attack problem with Sturidge not at his best and Ballotelli performing far below expectation. Liverpool began the 2015 campaign in a topsy-turvy note, but at the second half of the season, they gained their strength again until Manchester United dealt them a blow followed by a Manchester United win. Though Phillipe Coutinho was at his best for the majority of the season, his effort was not enough to lift his sinking club to the Champions League spot.

Now with Steven Gerard leaving the club, it could mean that LFC are going to walk alone next season. They will really miss him, a legend who has won a Champions League trophy for his club. However, Steven Gerard would live to nurse the sad feeling of not lifting an EPL trophy throughout his spell in the club, though he came close twice, ending up as runner-up.

Raheem Sterling is another star who seemed to be on his way out of the club. Though still a young star, 21, yet he insisted on ending his time in the club, possibly gunning for a move to a more successful and promising club. He wanted to play in the first tier of European Football. If Sterling succeeded in leaving the club, then Liverpool might be walking alone, though planning for an out-of-form FALCAO who failed to impress in Manchester shirt.

Liverpool, after a back to back defeat from relegated QPR and Stoke city respectively, 1-3 and 6-1 scoreline, would now have to settle down for a possible Europa spot. Definitely, Brendan Rogers would be under pressure next season if he remained the coach because he needed to take them back to the top-four spot by all means.

They need to overhaul that team. From defence to attack. I suggest they go for Fabian Delph to replace Steven G and buy like 2 quality strikers. #LFC
