Preferred Field of Study: Business management/Administration, Purchasing and Supply, Marine management or logistics, Accounting, Financial Management

Minimum Required Experience: 2 years experience in Administration/Financial/Business management and Logistics/Fleet/Transport/Inventory management

Core Responsibilities of Logistics Manager:
Logistics-Transportation: Cargo and Baggage Handling, Cost Estimating, Equipment Operation, General-Other: Logistics-Transportation, Import-Export Administration, Inventory Planning and Management

Job Description and Responsibilities of Logistics Manager:
• Uses computerized inventory software to maintain records of all shipment.
• Oversees the processing of customer orders.
• Reviews all shipping labels and packaging to ensure that they meet federal regulations
• Ensures that all orders are delivered to customers in a timely fashion.
• Addresses and resolves any issues with delayed shipments.
• Maintains and manages delivery schedule.
• Ensures that all expenditures stay within company budget.
• Ensures that all shipping and ordering deadlines are met.
• Reports any problems, issues and losses to company manager.
• Delegates assignments to warehouse and inventory clerks.
• Ensures that all subordinate employees work efficiently.
• Accepts and signs for deliveries to the warehouse.
• Assists in unloading new shipments
• Organized inventory around the warehouse.
• Supervises use of heavy machinery such as forklifts or conveyor belts used to transport shipments.
• Tracks all store or company inventory.
• Manage transporters and truck drivers

Job Description and Responsibilities of Operations Manager:
• Prepare and submit an annual operational budget to the Managing Director for review and approval. Manage effectively within this budget, and report accurately and progress made and any challenges encountered.
• Participate in the preparation of operating and capital budgets, acquisition of material according to approved budget and company processes.
• Ensures good communications between Maintenance and Operations to minimize equipment downtime.
• Distributes information memorandums on current issues.
• Responsibility for maintaining financial, accounting, administrative and personnel services with an understanding of warehousing, operations and sales expectations.
• Monitors overtime costs and general expenditures.
• Participates in financial reviews.
• Ensures procedures are in place to correct service failures in loading and discharging vessels.
• Ensures safety, health and environmental standards are met throughout the operation.
• Ensures monthly safety meetings are conducted at various levels of the operations group.
• Reviews and approves instructions regarding operations systems and procedures.
• Formulate policies; manage day-to-day operations; and plans the use of materials and employees.
• Generate all operations department reports that have relation with organizational goals and objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
• Other duties as assigned by the Managing Director.
• Overall responsibility for the implementation, direction, and leadership of the care and operations of our extensive and expanding network.
