Chinese beekeeper breaks own world record

Not everyone is up to the task of getting covered by bees, but Gao Bingguo is brave enough.

The beekeeper, hailing from Tai’an city in Shandong Province, broke the Guinness World Record Monday for being coated by most bees, according to a report by a local newspaper, the Qilu Evening News.

The 55 year old was covered in over one million bees, weighing a massive 109.05 kilograms.

After the success of donning a suit of bees, Gao was left with some 2,700 stings. His body temperature subsequently rose to about 70 degrees Celsius, the report said.

Gao topped a record that was created only last year, on May 27, which he himself set – when he was covered in 85.5 kilograms of bees.
