I always wonder ,how will America look like by the time Nigeria attains her present standard? There is one thing Am sure of , that is not attainable in this generation . Sad to say it but Nigeria ain't getting there. How many Nobel physics prize winners does Nigeria have? How many tech startups from Nigeria have ever become a global force? How many Nigerians have won the Nobel economics prize? How many Nigerian arms manufacturers export their wares or even supply Nigeria? How many planes does Nigeria produce and export? How many homegrown biotech firms does Nigeria have? How many prominent Nigerians seek advanced medical care in Nigeria? Does Nigeria even have a blue water navy to rule the seas? How many homegrown Nigerian firms are even capable to explore,drill and produce Nigerian oil? I can go on and on to show that Nigeria ain't even close.Can't even solve boKo haram without assistance,no capacity to refine its own petroleum and can't solve perennial power issues yet you think of catching America? Bifwoli:And as long as Nigeria grows dependent on a life style that it cannot build and support for itself, instability will remain... Nigeria doesnt even have much to offer other nations for bringing that standard into Nigeria.. Maybe some oil and cheap labor product... Cant even guarantee a pseudo safe national society to make foriegn developers feel at home... It already cost more to live in the american standard lagos areas, than it does in America, and the rest of the country isnt even close to making such extremes seem sensible... Thats a sign of some serious lopsidedness.. Even the mightiest trees topple under such lopsidedness... Instability due to living beyond sustainable means... Even america and china are feeling the crunch upon the planet under the race to reach that proverbial standard... |
