With the need to inspire and empower the Nigerian Girl Child through education, advocacy and information, a group of youths and selected Nollywood stars recently flagged-Off a non-governmental organization" FACE OF EDUCATION NIGERIA INITATIVE.

According to the International President, Dr. Charles Emmanuel U. the Non-profit organization was formed to tackle the myriad of challenges faced by Nigerian girl child ranging from abuse, discrimination, gender inequalities, stigmatization, male dominance, violence and others.

He further buttressed that as ambassadors of pro-active change, their mandate is to empower the girl child in Nigeria..."If we empower one girl child, we have empowered a generation"

Speaking to Abuja's popular social media reporter AlexReports , Empress Njama who is one of the Ambassadors of FENI, said the NGO will be partnering with some organisations with similar objectives so as to completely put out child abuse and other related girl child challenges. The popular Abuja based Nollywood actress stressed that FENI will set up a rehabilitation centre for the girl child as they seek to get fund from personal projects and sponsorships. She added that the NGO will flag-off a pageant section of the project in due course so that the winners can be the advocates of the objectives and mission of the organization as they will spread the messages and also execute it as their pet projects.

During the media interactive section, other nollywood actors like Sani Danja, Agility and Bruno Iwuoha reiterated their commitment to the course of FANI as ambassadors and promised to use all avilable networks and platforms to achieve the goal. While speaking to AlexReports, Sani Danja said that it was a good project because of the high rate of girl child abuse, discrimination, oppression and victimization in Nigeria. He further stated the northern part of Nigeria records high rate of girl child abuse and as an ambassador of FENI, he will use his office to mitigate or completely eradicate the menace either by creating job opportunities, sending them to school or empowering the girl child on the streets.

Nollywood veteran Bruno Iwuoha commended Dr. Charles and his team for the good initiative and assured them of his support and commitment in ensuring that the Nigerian Girl Child gets a new hope for tomorrow .
