Its charging port but merely looking at this thread, if you look it from a perspective charging point might actually be correct. For instance a point is suppose to be a "position". so if a charging port is a position whereby electricity flows into the phone to charge the battery, then the port can actually be called a Point. So i believe charging point shoul be right tho.

It is port and not 'point'. In developed countries, Chargingpoint is associated with cars.

Charging point is the place where you charge like a socket on the wall etc. Charging port is the place where your charger meets your phone.

'Charging point' is more or less a place/hub/booth created or enabled with facility that helps you to connect a charger to charge your device(e.g those shops where you pay to have your phone charged) . Have you heard of loading points for commercial vehicles before? Charging port is more of a built-in hole through which a device is charged.
