Every thoughtful and forward-thinking organization should put in place, a well-run childcare facility for nursing mothers and mothers of toddlers in their employ. An employer-sponsored creche is truly invaluable to this group of working mothers. Even the fathers ultimately benefit from this. Do the employers benefit at all? The answer to this question is in the organization's bottom line and staff retention & attrition rates. The CRECHE-IN-THE-OFFICE initiative is a low-hanging fruit all employers should reach out for. It's the least they can do for the conscientious, passionate, dedicated female professional who is grappling with the dual, and often daunting role of being an effective mother and a competent high-performing employee. Shouldn't all organizations set up a safe, comfortable, stimulating Childcare space within their office blocks?
