'm so excited that the Nigerian government have welcomed the idea of not only generating electricity true gas fired plant but also the use of nuclear power plant to achieve same purpose. An average nuclear power plant generate approximately 4000MW with at least four reactors. As a mechanical engineer I would love to share with you my idea about the nuclear power plant. Nuclear power stations convert heat energy produced from a nuclear fission chain reaction into electricity. Heat generated inside a nuclear reactor core from nuclear fission is used to convert water into steam, which then drives an electric turbine alternator.

As the turbine spins it produces alternating current (AC) electricity which is supplied to the national electricity grid. The steam is recondensed into water, usually by external seawater cooling and then recirculated back inside the reactor. For cooling reasons nuclear reactors are normally constructed near the coastline. Nuclear reactors built inland must be sited near large rivers and also generally use cooling towers. You can visit radioactivity application in your physics text for clarity on fission.
Engineers in the house and the Nigerian people what is your idea on this topic let's share I'm willing to learn from you.
Ask any question you have and answer will be provided.
Happy new week.

Nuclear disaster is not child's play o, how can Nigeria run a reactor with its culture of nepotism and corruption. I'm sure the employment of reactor workers will be by slot and by 'who you know'.

am just scared if nigeria can handle nuclear power.nigerria is too careless to handle such a project.
