Unilorin Marathon
Celebrating Academic Stability
Marathon is a long distance running event and usually run as a road race. The Unilorin Marathon is a half marathon that stretches from a part of Ilorin Township to the school stadium. The long distance represents endurance over time which the school has done to achieve the goal of academic stability of about fifteen (15) years. This marathon is aimed at celebrating academic stability of the school.

Unilorin to be a reference point of academic excellence and moral standard for other schools in Nigeria.
Mission
To inculcate the culture of academic stability in the students and staff of the school.

Opening speech.
Passing of the torch.
Marathoners take off from the start line.
Live performance by artists as the marathon progresses.
Update live coverage of the race at the school stadium.
Presentation/Decoration of winners with medals.
Raffle draw for the lottery.
Closing ceremony.

Registration Guide
Valid for the 1st edition of Unilorin Marathon, October 20, 2015. Registration starts on June 1, 2015 and closes on August 15, 2015. All screened participants will be notified by September 1, 2015.

The schedule and running course are subject to change. The race will take place regardless of the weather, unless there is a weather warning from the metrology department.
Time Limit: 4 hours

Eligibility
The Unilorin Marathon is organized according to the International Competition Regulations of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria. Participants must be genuine members of where they claimed.
Bib
You can pick up your bib which contains your race number at the Unilorin Sports Complex from Thursday, October 15 to Monday, October 19, 2015.

Important Notes:
Presentation of ID card is mandatory!
Presentation of registration confirmation is mandatory!
Pick-up by other person is not allowed!
Participants are to provide their race kits.
Any unpicked-up bib within the stated date will lead to automatic disqualification of the participant.
3.
Replacement and Transfer
Only individuals who have officially registered are permitted to participate in races organized by Sovereign Campus Concept Limited. Running without an official registration or running for someone else is a violation of the terms and conditions for participation in SCCL events and will result in disqualification.
