I read that Mercedes supplies them only V8's, so I don't know about your German V12 statement.
And please, don't use American cars as reference for anything (except maybe Ford).

An I4 can produce up to 1200hp when turbo charged and tweaked ..Lancer evo , subaru e.t.c

The i6 supra can produce 1500hp+
Or is it the gtr34 or 33 wch can squeeze out Hp too
Most cars can be tuned to produce great outputs...
But

But the v12 aston martin u talked about producing 560 hp vs an i4 lancer evo with 560hp
Both might have good acceleration ,but that v12 is going to do the work with ease,infact the v12 will go on a far distance than the i4 ,
the v12 engine is even going to be more stable and will attain maximum speed at lower rpms,while the evo is opposite
