Virgin coconut oil is extracted from the fruit of fresh mature coconuts. It is highly rich in vitamin E,K and iron. It has potential antioxidant properties. Coconut oil contains saturated fat which is harmless to the body lipid, the oil help the body stop the damage to other healthy fat and tissue in our body which is caused by oxidation, a major contributor of heart disease problem by raise of HDL (the good cholesterol) in the body.
Coconut oil helps to lower the blood sugar level since it contains Medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs), MCFA fats which immediately burned up as energy. It also preserve insulin action, resistance and improve insulin sensitivity in type 2 diabetes.
Consumption of coconut oil reduces abdominal obesity, weight loss and easy digestion.
