One of the challenges faced by Nigerian artist especially up - coming artist is how to get to the limelight. But they are also challenges faced by artist who made it to the top, one of which is how to maintain their position at the top and remain relevant to the competitive industry. However, so many Nigeria artist have gotten to the top but couldn't stay not because they don't know how to sing but maybe because they fail to understand what their audience really want from them. Some of this musicians include:
WACOMZY: Anyawu Obinna kelvin popularly known as wacomzy is a portharcourt born singer, song writter n producer who rose to prominence in 2010 with his hit song 'i celebrate'. But unfortunately, he is no longer relevant again in as much as he tried to get into the news by blackmailing davido in early 2014.
CHUDDY K: the 'gaga crazy' crooner is also missing. His music have failed to hit the club after gaga crazy. The kent record popular artist have left his fans with questions about his style of music which is not specified.
SKY B: This 9ja guy made name for his self in
2007 with his debut album "Pray For Me" which
sold nearly 1 miliion CD copies minus pirated copies. He however vanished as if the money he realised from that album is enough.
BLACK FACE :Claimed to be the power head behind plantainshun boys is Augustine Obiabo AKA black face. His album 'ghetto child' actually took him to limelight but the idoma boy fail to stay at the top of his career despite being loved by the street.
AIRFORCE 1: though he never got to limelight but he had all he needed like having nairalanders barking is just enough for him, though nairalanders are still with him and are hoping for improvement.
