Cholera outbreak has killed at least 15 people in Langtang North local government of Plateau State. The outbreak was recorded in two villages in the area – Kantam and Filam. The news of the outbreak was broken by a member representing Langtang North-North in the state House of Assembly, Hon. Godfrey Lamdip, at a plenary on Tuesday. He said,”The cholera outbreak in the local government was noticed on Monday this week and it has killed at least 15 people with several other victims hospitalized. “I have to bring the issue before the House of Assembly so that prompt action can be taken to safe lives.” The lawmakers later resolved that the House health committee should liaise with the state ministry of health on how to curtail the outbreak... http://thenationonlineng.net/new/cholera-kills-15-in-plateau/ |
