Your Nails Can Reveal These 9 Things About What’s Happening With Your health
Did you know your nails can reveal clues to your general health? Your body has a knack for letting you know when something is wrong, and your nails are no exception.
That’s because diseases that affect your wh*** body can change the blood flow, growth patterns, or shape of your fingernails and toenails in ways you may notice long before any other symptoms.
1. Koilonychia or spoon nails:

It refers to abnormally thin nails (usually of the hand) which have lost their convexity, becoming flat or even concave in shape. This is a nail disease that can be a sign of hypochromic anemia, especially iron-deficiency anemia and low blood oxygen levels from not taking in or absorbing enough iron. Spoon nails can also occur in people with heart disease, thyroid problems, or the autoimmune disease lupus.
2. Clubbed nails:
This is the opposite of spoon nails. Clubbed nails curve outward and bubble up. It is a deformity of the fingers and fingernails associated with a number of diseases, mostly of the heart and lungs. Some people are born with them, but if they develop later on in life, have them checked out promptly as they are about 8 out of 10 times, due to underlying lung disease like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or a type of scarring called pulmonary fibrosis.

3. Splinter hemorrhages:

Splinter hemorrhages are tiny blood clots that tend to run vertically under the nails. Sometimes you’ll see these long, black, splinter-like lines after you smash your hand in the door or stub your toe. But if you haven’t hurt yourself lately, they could mean you have bacterial endocarditis, an infection of the valves and inner lining of the heart. The condition often occurs after a dental or medical procedure and requires antibiotics.
4. Pitting:

Pitting refers to small depressions, or little pits in the nail. It is almost like a tiny climber took an icepick to your nails. It is common in people who have psoriasis, or a skin condition that causes the skin to be dry, red, and irritated. This serves as signs of the chronic skin disease psoriasis. This condition also produces silvery or red scaly, itchy patches on your elbows, knees, and other parts of your body.
5. Warts:

Warts are small, self-limited tumors caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. They are rough and raised and resemble cauliflower in shapes. They usually have a rough shape and can affect the shape of the nails. Biting your nails or chewing your fingers leaves you prone to these small, rough growths, which sometimes have tiny black dots in them
