How was your day is used at night...while how is your day is used at noon...

Although you didnt add this but how was your night is used in the morning.....

Their difference lies on which time of the day.

Both. How was your day is asked after the activicties of that day.
How is your day is asked as the day is progressing and the other person wants to know how the activicty for the day is moving so far.

Depends on the time of the day you are asking. Right now, how was ur day is the Right question. If it Is earlier in the day, how is ur day going is right one.

I could remember saying this to my friend with the same moniker(Ada) I told her How is ur day during evening! once I have not retired for d day my day is still going on hence is and not was!! but b careful of the context though

How was ur day? this preferably comes at night time.
How is ur day? I truly believe dis is present continous, and can be asked anyrime of d day.
How has been ur day? This has no true notion of time, but I can't aptly describe d scenarios in which it can be properly used.
