I just bought a portable generator. It is a fireman 900 watts generator.

The problem is that every time I take load off it, it begins to run very fast and make a very loud noise. I don't understand what might be the problem. It runs normal with loads on.

Anyone to help out.

I had one I pass my neigbhour I bought in 2008. When I started life on my own. It behaves same way untill level change I dumped it. For a bigger generator and later to inverter.

The problem is age. You better discard it or use it only in the night when you want to sleep. Without much load. We will also discover its fuel consumption will desperately increase.

My sincere advice is to auction it and get another

It is not old age o. I bought it new.

There is no need for the thing to be running when the load is taken off of it. Just shut the thing down and run it only when you have load to put on it.
Otherwise just look to sell it or trade it to get something you are comfortable with.
Fake Firmans are a thing i heard about.
