Well my dad is Yoruba from Akoko Ondo area while my mom is Edo Auchi side. Growing up was loved by both side wonderful memories plus i noticed my dad could not understand my moms native tongue when her family visit but we all got along speaking yoruba at home just fine. However growing up was a whole different ball game and to this day meeting Nigeria n's abroad, if I tell them am Yoruba since i was borned grew up in Ibadan and they would look at me again and tell me No theres still something different until I tell them maybe bcuz my mom is Edo and they would reply No Wonder! Anyhow, i just wanna conclude by saying this tribal thing can be very scary for those like me guys so pls tone down the name calling like mutant lol.Thank u

OMOIBO1:
interesting
are you allowed to marry someone from the same village?

Im from Umuopara in Umuahia. it is forbidden to marry from the next 5 neigbouring villages. The elders say we are all brothers and sisters.

You are not alone.
In Umuoji you cant marry from your village, except from kindred that migrated to the town.
