I use ah HP250 laptop running windows 8, I noticed that after installing Need for Speed most wanted on the system which I played continuosly for like 2 weeks the battery does not get to 14% again when the system will give me low battery signal again.
When the battery is around 25% or thereabout the system will just trip off.
I've uninstall the game and tried some other stuff I read on internet to make the system come back to normal but none is working.

Pls what else can I do to solve this problem or could it be that the battery is affected.

System restore at a point couldn't find boot device

if you can open the back of Your system, I guess there's plenty dust there. clean out d dust around the fan and spin it manually.

you can also try uninstall the battery in d device manager (apci compliant battery or something lik that), remove d battery for about 3 minutes and put back in.

then... u can use hp wireless assistant to callibrate d battery. if u don't hav it, u can download it online.

cleaning out d dust and uninstalling battery worked for me
