The world is made of different calibre of people and the difference is very much vast, the curious type and those that never cares about anything that is happening around their surrounding and the worst is that it turns back to attack them and when it does they tend to blame it on an unseen human.


What Is Ignorance?

Ignorance can be said to be ‘lack of knowledge’ or ‘unawareness’.


Ignorance is the root of the word ‘Ignore’.


And it is well known that the word Ignore is not a kind word. And there are many ways to interpret it, you can say ‘pay no attention to’ or ‘’pay deaf ears to’ or ‘overlook’ or ‘take not into account’ among several others. Ignorant Of cause also still falls in the same family and you can decipher many things from it, since this is not an English class that will pass.


Ignorance has been the major disease that we on planet earth at least are suffering and that has of cause evenly paid it dues in the hands of those that are its patronizers. We may be inclined to suggest that Aids, Ebola, Cancer and other deadly diseases and viruses are fast killers but there is not one that is faster in ending a life than the almighty Ignorance.


It is Ignorance that makes both men and women have sex with different people without any protection. It is that same Ignorance that causes motorists and vehicle drivers and even pedestrians to ignore the red light of the traffic signal and choose to move when signaled to stay still. It is still that same Ignorance that makes people to forget the middle name of a friend.


Should we continue to outline and list out what Ignorance does in the lives of people, you surely will sleep on your computer.


The truth behind the scenes is, it is not ‘lack of knowledge’ or ‘unawareness’ but it is the overlooking and paying deaf ears to the information and not taking any piece of information serious.


Should it be announced in the world new and also announced on local radio stations and also newspapers and even town criers in local villages in all languages that exists that no one should come out on the 6th hour of the day, that anyone who does shall perish due to a climatic condition. Definitely, there still will be many of those that will come out during the 5th hour and stay outside until the 7th hour. Why will they behave in such a brainless manner, it is because they were Ignorant.


Ignorance causes fear and unrest in the society, and when there is unrest and fear, it causes panic which leads to hate, terrorism, panic which in turn harms the society.


Ignorance has tortured lives and it is high time we stopped being Ignorant and save our lives and the lives of our generation.
