Morphine is NOT a novel drug. It has been in controlled use for long now. By FG introducing it l hope this does not mean making available over the counter. It has been and should remain a POM (Prescription Only Medication)

Seems Buhari have nothing to show for his lacklustre performance after two months. Morphine has been in use in Nigeria since the early 20s, who cooked this lies up?

Apparently morphine was never licensed for use in Nigerian hospitals. Once my grandma was very ill at the hospital and she was in intense pain. I was surprised they didn't give her morphine to help alleviate it . My mum later told me it's not licensed in Nigerian hospitals.

I guess it's a good news for Nigeria, one way or the other.

Aren't you a doctor? Besides, they are your patients and not clients (if you're a doc I mean)
Morphine has always been used as a pain relieving drug since time immemorial.

The problem is its propensity to be abused, hence the reason it's a controlled drug. I think it's a schedule 2 drug, hence only sold under the supervision and authority of a pharmacist following a strict prescription from a doctor.
