Almost six months after animator Jamie Hewlett announced the return of Gorillaz by teasing some new artwork on Instagram, the very busy Damon Albarn has revealed he’ll start to record a new album in September. Speaking to Australian TV show ABC 7.30, Damon said: “I’m starting recording in September for a new Gorillaz record. I’ve just been really, really busy so I haven’t had a chance. I’d love to just get back in to that routine of being at home and coming to the studio five days a week.”

Gorillaz last album came back in 2010 with The Fall. Watch the video for “Phoner To Arizona” below.
