World player of the year, Lionel Messi was hosted by the president of Gabon, president Ali Bongo on Saturday July 18th, for the brick laying of their new 22,000 seating capacity stadium. He was driven by the president himself.

Gabon president stated that Messi is a man of honour who kept to his word, “that he would come to visit him in libreville”
