I saw an advert for a nice ride I'll be interested in but the fuel type showed "flexible-fuel". I googled it and found out that its has to do with ethanol & gaaoline in the same fuel compartment but dunno whether it's a must to be a mixture of both or you can use either of the fuels (ethanol/gasoline)

Oga lomomike and co I'll love to hear your opinions on the pros & cons of this ride...thanx.

My site truck accepts 85% ethanol or gasoline. However, I use gasoline. It would be nice if ethanol is produced in large quantities for motor vehicles so as to reduce dependence on petrol.

Will 85% ethanol alone be enough to power the engine as 100% gasoline? If so make I go open beer parlour business oh...lols

The ethanol specification in my truck is E85, meaning 85% ethanol, 15% petrol as the tolerable mix. You can buy pre-mixed to any percentage you wish at any percentage so wished. 100% ethanol could damage rubber components which can tolerate petrol. Besides, it could cause catastrophic engine damage due to pre-mature ignition.

Hmm...where in naija do you get E85 fuels or can one run it on 100% gasoline effectively?

100% non premium petrol which i feel don't give out the best in performance in the truck.

That's exactly what Funsho Kupolokun (spell check) former GMD of NNPC wanted to achieve during OBJ's regime when he brought E10 project in Nigeria. But Nigeria being what it is, politics here and there it was a failed project.
