Physical activity is any activity that involves bodily movement with use of energy, help you keep fit and makes your health better. It includes daily activities such as manual work you do as part of your job or in the house, recreational activities and sports. The benefits of physical activities to the health cannot be over emphasized as they are so much. Benefits Of Physical Activities It can make you live long. It helps prevent against or manage health conditions such as heart diseases, arthritis, metabolic syndrome, depression and stroke. It enhances physical balance, flexibility and stability. Some chemicals in the brain which makes you feel good and relaxed are released during physical activity. It boosts energy. It makes the muscles and bones stronger. It aids free circulation of blood around the body as fats and cholesterol that could hinder the flow of blood are burned off and removed from the body It eases the work of organs of the body such as the heart, lungs and kidney. It also helps the respiratory system. It can be used to lose weight. Physical activity can be done anytime and anywhere; it can be enjoyed or turned into a hobby. There are several ways to be physically active and improve your health: Jogging, running or walking a short distance can be done daily as a physical activity. You can park your car a short distance from your destination and walk the rest of the journey or take a walk around your neighborhood, while listening to some good music. This is good for the heart and legs and enables you to relax your mind. Doing some chores around the house like cleaning, gardening, cooking etc. These can even be done with the whole family to make it fun. Nice topic. It's good to know people are paying much more attention to their health and realising that SLIM does not mean FIT. Exercise also helps in the release of toxins through sweat. |
