Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal admits that he has a goalkeeping problem on his hands after an unconvincing David de Gea showing here in America on Thursday morning.

De Gea was hauled off at half-time as United lost 2-0 to Paris Saint-Germain at Soldier Field. At fault for PSG’s first goal, De Gea heads towards the start of the season with only 107 minutes of pre-season action behind him and looking decidedly shaky.

With United having the out-of-favour Victor Valdes and the new Argentinean signing Sergio Romero as feasible back-up, it appears as though De Gea will have to start against Tottenham in the Barclays Premier League a week on Saturday.
