My Yoruba bros and sisters, please leave the Itsekiri nation alone. They have decided to have a seperate cultural identity from us, and self identify as ITSEKIRIS and we should support and respect that opinion. We don't even dress in the same way. they dress like other Niger deltans, most of the time. No matter how much similarity i see between both groups, I see the differences between them as well. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Goodboiyy: Yes, Itsekiris are Itsekiris and Yorubas are Yorubas. Being similar does not equal to being the same. I am sure the Itsekiris have a lot of unique culture that most Yorubas except some of the riverrine ones like some Ilajes will not understand. Any Yoruba man that will try to go and claim Igala will be bamboozled back to his tent within a minute .... lol 1 Like |
