Here are step to achieve that

Firstly you need to upgrade your existing Windows 7/8.1 to the latest update (KB3035583)This new upgrade installs an application called the “Get Windows 10”

The application shows 6 informative pages about Windows 10 new features and upgrade process. Each page contains a button "Reserve your free upgrade" which actually allows you to a free upgrade to Windows 10

Once you reserve the upgrade by clicking on the button, Windows will automatically download Windows 10 setup files when available and will show a notification to you once all the required files have been downloaded on your computer and Windows 10 is ready to install.

Second method involves downloading Windows 10 iso image from Microsoft’s web site, alternatively you can download the web installer from the same page and just choose to upgrade your PC, which is the easiest option.

If you are installing on a regular PC with Windows already on it, you’ll be prompted immediately to start the upgrade process. Alternatively, you can burn it to an optical disk or create a bootable USB flash drive. Otherwise, just attach the ISO image using the virtual machine software of your choice (assuming your virtual machine already has Windows 7 or 8 installed).

Install it mostly by clicking the Next button, making sure to choose Upgrade when prompted.

Note: Now that Windows 10 is released, you’re going to need a valid Windows license key for 7, 8, or 8.1 in order to perform the upgrade.
